But during the recently concluded nine-day Simbang Gabi, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) achieved just that—a crime-free streak in churches across the metro! Talk about a Christmas miracle, right?

With thousands of churchgoers flocking to dawn masses, the NCRPO wasn’t taking any chances. They had their ABLE, ACTIVE, and ALLIED police officers stationed in churches, transport hubs, and other busy areas. The result? Not a single major security incident was recorded. That’s right—zero. Zilch. Nada.

Acting Regional Director PBGEN Anthony A. Aberin couldn’t hide his pride in his team. “Our comprehensive security coverage delivered a peaceful and secure Simbang Gabi in Metro Manila,” he shared. He also emphasized that this success sets the tone for the NCRPO as they gear up for the New Year festivities.

Aberin assured the public that the same level of vigilance will continue through Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve celebrations. “We’re committed to ensuring the safety and peace of all Metro Manila residents,” he added.

This success isn’t just about numbers; it’s about giving people peace of mind during one of the most meaningful times of the year. Thanks to the NCRPO’s proactive measures, churchgoers were able to focus on the solemnity of Simbang Gabi without worrying about their safety.
