In a heartfelt announcement on social media, the husband of Cj De Silva-Ong, Wincy Ong confirmed her passing on June 18, 2024. Known for her multifaceted talents as an artist, painter, creative director, and podcaster, Cj De Silva-Ong touched many lives with her creativity and passion.

"Sadly, yesterday at 10:45 AM, while in the ICU, our beloved Cj suffered two strokes, and finally became one with the Universe," her husband shared in a poignant Facebook post. "She fought to the very end."

Born on August 1, 1987, Cj De Silva-Ong gained recognition early in her life as a Promil Gifted Child, appearing in commercials during the Nineties. Her artistic journey flourished as she pursued her passions in illustration and painting, using her talents to advocate for causes close to her heart.

Beyond her artistic pursuits, Cj De Silva-Ong excelled in her career as an Executive Creative Director in advertising, where she made significant contributions to the industry she loved. Her colleagues and friends remember her not only for her professional achievements but also for her warmth and kindness.

Reflecting on her vibrant personality, her husband remarked, "Behind that tough and take-charge person you may know is such a sweet, caring girl. I will always remember her for the kindness she brought to people."

In honoring her wishes for a celebration of life, a wake will be held from June 20 to June 22 at The Heritage Park, Taguig. The cremation service will follow on June 23, where friends, family, and admirers will come together to commemorate her 36 years of life filled with music, conversations, coffee, and good food.

Cj De Silva-Ong leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of creativity and compassion that will continue to inspire many. Her presence in the art and advertising communities will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on through the impact she made during her time on this planet.
