The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has ordered the temporary suspension of RL SOFT CORPORATION's operations, operating under the brand name inDrive, due to alleged violations related to fare haggling. This move comes as a response to the company's failure to comply with MC 2019-036, which establishes fare rates for Transportation Network Vehicle Services (TNVS).

The LTFRB, committed to upholding safety and fair practices in the transportation industry, has identified the haggling of fares by inDrive as a clear breach of the terms and conditions outlined in its accreditation as a Transportation Network Company (TNC). As a result, inDrive is required to halt its operations starting today, January 23, until it can provide proof of compliance within the next 15 days.

The regulatory board emphasized the significance of adherence to accreditation conditions, stating that such violations not only undermine transparency but also pose a threat to the well-being of both passengers and drivers. The LTFRB is conducting a thorough investigation to determine the extent of the alleged violation.

"We take these allegations seriously," remarked an LTFRB spokesperson. "Our priority is to ensure the safety and fairness of transportation services. Haggling of fares goes against the principles of transparency and compromises the welfare of both passengers and drivers."

The LTFRB urged all Transportation Network Companies to adhere strictly to the terms and conditions of accreditation, emphasizing that compliance is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the public transportation system. The board affirms its commitment to enforcing policies that prioritize safety, fairness, and efficiency in transportation services for the benefit of the commuting public.
