The Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 109 in Capas, Tarlac has given the green light for dismissed Mayor Alice Guo to attend a crucial Senate hearing on Monday, September 9, 2024. Senator Risa Hontiveros, who is leading the inquiry, had requested Guo's presence before the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality.

In its ruling, the court emphasized the importance of Guo's testimony, noting that the inquiry is "in aid of legislation." As a result, Guo, also known as Guo Hua Ping, has been allowed to participate in the public hearing. However, the court has made it clear that strict security protocols must be in place during her appearance.
