Salaknib 2024 Wraps Up, Balikatan Exercises Begin

The inaugural phase of Salaknib 2024, featuring a joint military exercise and Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) between the Philippine Army and United States Army Pacific, has concluded. A total of 1,000 soldiers from the Philippine 5th and 7th Infantry Division, along with 1,700 soldiers from the USARPAC's 25th Infantry Division, participated in the joint Philippine-United States Combine Exercise, showcasing robust collaboration.

Today, the Balikatan Exercises, the Philippines' largest bilateral exercise with the US, officially commence at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City. Over the course of April 22 to May 10, 16,700 Filipino and American troops will engage in various exercises across Northern Luzon and Palawan. Additionally, several other nations will either directly participate or serve as observers in these activities.
