Sara Duterte Resigns From Cabinet, Effective July 19

At 2:21 PM on June 19, 2024, Vice President Sara Z. Duterte resigned from her roles as Secretary of the Department of Education, Member of the Cabinet, and Vice Chairperson of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC). Her resignation will be effective on July 19, 2024.
Vice President Duterte did not provide a reason for her resignation but will continue serving as Vice President.
