Senator Bong Go expressed gratitude for surviving a helicopter emergency landing in the mountainous area of Pililla, Rizal. The incident occurred while he was en route to Mabitac, Laguna, for the inauguration of a new Super Health Center. Heavy rain and thick fog caused zero visibility, forcing the pilot to make a quick decision to land safely and narrowly avoiding the nearby windmills.

“This is the third time I’ve had a close call while fulfilling my duties as a public servant,” Go shared, reflecting on the experience. “God is good all the time. When your intentions are pure, He will protect you. There’s truly good karma in helping others.”

Despite the dangers he’s faced, the senator remains steadfast in his commitment to public service. “I’m not afraid to die while serving my fellow Filipinos, especially our less fortunate kababayans. It is both an honor to live and to die serving our country.”

Go emphasized his belief in seizing opportunities to help others. “We pass through this world only once. Any good or help we can offer should be done now because we won’t get another chance,” he said. “Service to people is service to God.”

The senator assured the public that he remains dedicated to his advocacy of bringing essential services to communities, driven by what he calls his “addiction” to serving others.
