The Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality, led by Deputy Minority Leader Risa Hontiveros, takes a firm stance against Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Apollo Quiboloy, citing him in contempt for refusing to testify in a public inquiry.

Hontiveros escalates the situation by appealing to Senate President Migz Zubiri for the authorization of Quiboloy's arrest.

Senator Robinhood Padilla meanwhile voices his objection, setting the stage for a potential clash within the committee.
"I respectfully oppose the decision to hold Pastor Quiboloy in contempt," Padilla expressed during the Tuesday, March 5, 2024 inquiry. Undeterred by Padilla's objection, Hontiveros acknowledges it and activates Section 18 of the Senate Rules, setting the stage for a potential committee clash regarding the contempt order.
