Senate President Zubiri Signs Arrest Order On Pastor Apollo Quiboloy

Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri has signed an arrest order against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy following his repeated failure to appear at Senate Committee on Women hearings.
Quiboloy's absence on January 23, February 19, and March 5, 2024, without justifiable reason, has led to allegations of obstructing inquiries into reported human trafficking, rape, sexual abuse, violence, and child abuse.
The Committee, chaired by Senator Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III, cited Quiboloy in contempt during the March 5 hearing and ordered his arrest and detention until he testifies or purges himself of contempt. The Sergeant-At-Arms has been instructed to enforce the order within 24 hours.
