In a heartfelt manifestation during the Senate plenary session on August 27, 2024, Senator Christopher "Bong" Go echoed the sentiments of Senator Bato Dela Rosa, emphasizing the importance of upholding the rule of law while ensuring the protection of civilians.

Senator Go, who has always been a staunch supporter of the Philippine National Police (PNP), condemned the excessive use of force during a recent operation at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound in Davao City.

Go called for restraint and professionalism from law enforcers. He urged the police to avoid becoming instruments of fear and abuse, reminding them of their duty to protect every Filipino life.

As the Vice Chair of the Committee on Public Order, Go expressed his support for a thorough investigation into the operation. He also highlighted his office's efforts to assist affected civilians, especially those who were injured or lost loved ones during the incident.

In his message, Senator Go appealed to both law enforcers and fellow government officials to act with compassion and prioritize the welfare of the people they serve. He urged the PNP to ensure that their actions align with the law and do not inflict unnecessary harm on innocent citizens.

"Let us serve the interests of the Filipino people," Go concluded, emphasizing the need for government officials to exercise their authority with responsibility and care.
