Get ready for some serious star power this Friday, July 26! American rap icon Snoop Dogg is set to join the Olympic torch relay, adding his unique flair to the final leg before the Paris Games' opening ceremony. Snoop will be strutting through the lively streets of Saint-Denis, a colorful suburb in northern Paris that houses the Olympic Stadium and Aquatics Centre. The exciting news was shared by Saint-Denis' mayor, Mathieu Hanotin, on Monday.

But the excitement doesn't stop there! Snoop Dogg, at 52 and hailing from greater Los Angeles (the next Olympic host city in 2028), won't be alone in this star-studded relay. He'll be joined by French actress Laetitia Casta, French rapper MC Solaar, and retired Ukrainian pole-vaulter Sergey Bubka, making this an event you won't want to miss.

After a two-month journey across France, the Olympic torch will also light up the athletes' village spanning Saint-Denis and neighboring Saint-Ouen on Friday morning, before heading to the Olympic Stadium and the Aquatics Centre.

And here's a bonus: Snoop Dogg won't just be a torchbearer. He'll also be bringing his commentary skills to the 2024 Games as an Olympic commentator.
