The Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) has announced its intention to file a quo warranto petition against Bamban Mayor Alice Guo in July. Solicitor General Menardo Guevarra cited new findings from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), particularly on fingerprint matches between Mayor Guo and Guo Hua Ping, as expediting their evidence-gathering process for the petition.

Guevarra emphasized the significance of these findings, noting, "This evidence will be extremely useful. But we have to tie this up with other existing evidence to come up with a cohesive picture."

The quo warranto petition aims to challenge Mayor Guo's authority to hold office, based on alleged irregularities or disqualifications. The OSG's move underscores ongoing legal challenges facing local officials, highlighting efforts to ensure accountability and integrity in public office.
