Blinken and Austin are in Manila for the 4th Philippines-U.S. Foreign and Defense Ministerial Dialogue, commonly known as the 2+2 Dialogue. This important event is being hosted by Secretary of Foreign Affairs Enrique Manalo and Secretary of National Defense Gilberto Teodoro Jr.

The dialogue, according to a DFA press announcement, aims to bolster the PH-U.S. alliance. They will also address evolving regional and global security challenges, showcasing the deep commitment both countries have towards mutual cooperation and stability.

As Blinken and Austin engaged with President Marcos, the atmosphere was one of camaraderie and mutual respect, highlighting the long-standing partnership between the Philippines and the United States.
