'Tension Rises: Chinese Vessels Harass Philippine Ships During Pag-asa Cays Patrol'

In a troubling turn of events on Thursday afternoon, August 22, Philippine Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) ships faced harassment while conducting a maritime patrol around Pag-asa Cays 1, 2, and 3.
The encounter escalated when Chinese militia vessels and the China Coast Guard performed dangerous maneuvers near the BFAR ships. To make matters worse, a Chinese helicopter repeatedly circled the Philippine vessels, adding to the already tense situation.
