Tensions Escalate As Philippine Coast Guard Collides With Chinese Forces During Reprovisioning Mission

Philippine Coast Guard Admiral Ronnie Gil Gavan said the government deployed Philippine Coast Guard vessels, BRP CABRA and BRP SINDANGAN, in support of the Armed Forces of the Philippines' Rotation and Reprovisioning Operation.
The mission encountered perilous situations as Chinese Coast Guard vessels and Maritime Militia engaged in dangerous maneuvers and blockades.
Regrettably, a collision ensued between MRRV-4407 and China Coast Guard 21555, causing minor structural damage to the PCG vessel.
