In a recent interview with Ogie Diaz, TikTok sensation Amor Carias, more popularly known as Ms. Catering, opened up about an unfulfilled promise made by actress and television host Karla Estrada. The promise, made during Carias' guest appearance on the morning show Magandang Buhay, was supposed to change her life—but it didn't quite turn out that way.

Ogie Diaz, known for his straightforward yet friendly interview style, asked Ms. Catering about her experience on the show and the promise that Karla Estrada made to her.

“Dati Ms. Catering na guest ka sa Magandang Buhay, tapos parang nangako sayo si Karla Estrada na gagawin ka niyang PA. Anong nangyari doon?” Ogie asked.

Ms. Catering explained the unfortunate timing of the promise. “Nung time kasi na 'yun, nung in-interview ako, mga 3 days nagsara na ang ABS-CBN. Nag-stop. Na-hack din yung account ko, kaya parang, wala na, hinayaan ko nalang. Pero may ipinangako siya na kukunin niya akong PA pero walang nangyari,” she shared.

Apparently, the closure of ABS-CBN and her own account being hacked derailed what could have been a life-changing opportunity. However, Ms. Catering holds no grudge. She even mentioned bumping into Karla Estrada again but wasn’t sure if the actress recognized her. “Nagkita nga kami dito sa lugar namin, hindi ko alam kung naalala niya ako. Wala, hindi naman ako nagkaroon ng galit,” she said.

In true Ms. Catering fashion, she ended the topic with a lighthearted joke, “Kung gusto niya, siya nalang kunin kong PA,” bringing laughs from Ogie and the audience.

For those not in the loop, Amor Carias shot to fame as Ms. Catering when a viral video from 2019 showed her speaking to a foreigner and famously saying, "I'm catering to my mother." The phrase, which was a sweet tribute to her mother who had suffered a mild stroke, struck a chord with many, and the name "Ms. Catering" stuck.

When asked by Ogie why she’s known as Ms. Catering, she explained, “Ms. Catering kasi nung nag video ako na kausap ko 'yung foreigner. Sinabi ko sa kanya na 'Busy ako, I’m catering to my mother, because my mother had a mild stroke.' 2019 yun at dun nila ako binansagang Ms. Catering.”

Despite the setbacks, Ms. Catering’s positive outlook and sense of humor continue to endear her to fans, proving that no promise, fulfilled or not, can dim her star.
