In an initial report from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Maco, as of 4:00 PM (February 8, 2024), the tragic landslide in Masara has claimed the lives of 11 individuals, with 31 others reported injured and currently under rescue efforts. The situation remains fluid, and these numbers are subject to validation.

Furthermore, there are currently 1,166 families seeking refuge in various evacuation centers, highlighting the widespread impact of the disaster.

As the search and rescue operations continue, 110 individuals are reported missing, adding to the urgency and complexity of the ongoing efforts.
