Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV has filed a complaint with the Department of Justice (DOJ) against several high-profile figures. The case revolves around the seizure of P6.4 billion worth of shabu back in 2017.

Trillanes has accused Davao City First District Rep. Paolo Duterte, former Bureau of Customs (BOC) Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon, Atty. Mans Carpio, and others involved in the scandal.

Trillanes shared his move on Facebook, stating, "Ngayong araw, ako po ay nagsampa ng drug smuggling case sa DOJ laban kina Pulong Duterte, Mans Carpio, Charlie Tan, Nic Faeldon, Allen Capuyan at iba pang miyembro ng Davao group kaugnay sa P6.4 billion shabu shipment na nahuli noong 2017." This action underscores his commitment to holding accountable those he believes are responsible for the massive drug shipment that was intercepted seven years ago.

The case has stirred considerable attention, especially given the prominent names involved. As investigations unfold, the public is keenly watching how this legal battle will impact the political and legal landscape in the Philippines.
