Tropical Depression Julian is hanging tight over the Philippine Sea, just east of Batanes, and it's bringing some serious weather your way. Here’s what you need to know:

Heavy Rainfall Warning

Today’s Weather Advisory No. 2 has been issued, highlighting the potential for heavy rainfall in the coming days. Make sure you’re prepared for wet conditions.

Wind Alert

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 could be raised in parts of Cagayan Valley today. As Julian moves, we could see Wind Signals No. 2 or 3 in the mix. Expect strong to gale-force gusts in several areas, especially in coastal and upland spots.

Tomorrow (Sept 28): Aurora and northern Quezon could feel the impact.
Sunday (Sept 29): Prepare for strong winds in Aurora, CALABARZON, Romblon, Marinduque, Bicol Region, Aklan, and northern Antique.

Coastal Hazards

Rough seas are expected, with wave heights potentially reaching up to 3.0 meters off the coasts of Batanes and Babuyan Islands, and along the eastern coast of mainland Cagayan. Small boats and inexperienced sailors should stay off the water.

For other areas, sea conditions may be moderate with waves up to 2.5 meters, so if you're navigating those waters, take extra precautions.

Track and Intensity Outlook

Julian is forecast to follow a looping path over the waters near Batanes and Cagayan over the next five days. It’s expected to intensify, potentially reaching tropical storm status tonight or tomorrow morning, and could even become a typhoon by Sunday.
