Despite efforts from Justine Brownlee, who led Gilas with 21 points, and June Mar Fajardo's double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds, Gilas struggled to contain Turkey's offensive momentum. The Philippine team, preparing for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Riga, Latvia, faced adversity throughout but mounted a late-game surge to narrow the gap to 68-65.
