Typhoon Aghon, locally named "Aghon" (international name: Ewiniar), has bolstered its strength, maintaining maximum sustained winds of 140 km/h near the center, with gusts up to 170 km/h. The central pressure stands at 965 hPa. The typhoon's eye was last located 100 km East Southeast of Casiguran, Aurora, moving northeastward at 10 km/h.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals (TCWS) have been raised, indicating potential threats to life and property. TCWS No. 2, warning of gale-force winds with speeds ranging from 62 to 88 km/h, has been hoisted over specific areas including the southeastern portion of Isabela and the northern portion of Aurora. Meanwhile, TCWS No. 1, signaling strong winds with speeds from 39 to 61 km/h, covers a broader area including parts of Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte.

Hazards affecting land areas include moderate to heavy rains expected over Western Visayas and portions of MIMAROPA due to the Southwesterly Windflow enhanced by Typhoon Aghon. Additionally, severe winds pose risks, with gale-force winds potentially impacting areas under TCWS No. 2, and strong winds affecting areas under TCWS No. 1.

Coastal areas are also under warning, with a Gale Warning issued for specific coastal waters including Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon, indicating risky sea travel for small seacrafts. Moderate to rough seas are expected in other areas, advising caution for mariners.

Looking ahead, Typhoon Aghon is forecasted to continue moving northeastward over the Philippine Sea, potentially exiting the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Wednesday afternoon or evening. While the typhoon is expected to intensify over the next two days, a weakening trend may begin as it interacts with the mid-latitude environment.

Local disaster risk reduction and management offices are advised to implement necessary measures to safeguard life and property. Residents in highly susceptible areas are urged to heed evacuation orders and monitor updates from PAGASA Regional Services Division for specific weather advisories.
