Unveiling Mayor Alice Guo's Educational Past
Senator Win Gatchalian File
In a recent Senate probe, suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo found herself under scrutiny as Senator Sherwin Gatchalian uncovered startling revelations about her educational history.

Contrary to her claims of homeschooling, it was disclosed that Guo attended Grace Christian High School in Quezon City for three years, from Grades 1 to 3.

During the hearing, Senator Gatchalian, a fellow alum of the school, presented records detailing Guo's attendance and emphasized the absence of any rural setting at their alma mater, debunking Guo's narrative of a farm upbringing.

"Apparently, si Guo Hua Ping, or si Alice Guo, ay hindi lumaki sa farm. Hindi rin siya homeschooled. Nag-aral ho siya," Senator Gatchalian stated.

Further scrutiny into Guo's background revealed discrepancies with her Alien Certificate of Registration, aligning her with records of the Chinese national Guo Hua Ping maintained by the Bureau of Immigration. This revelation contradicts Guo's assertions and deepens the controversy surrounding her.

In response to the Senate's actions, including a ruling by Senator Risa Hontiveros to cite Guo for contempt due to her non-appearance, Guo's legal team has sought intervention from the Supreme Court. They have filed a petition to halt the Senate's attempts to compel her attendance and to nullify the issued subpoena, citing procedural errors in a detailed 78-page petition for certiorari.
