The University of the Philippines Concert Chorus (UPCC), also known as Korus, made a remarkable debut at the Musica Orbis Prague Festival 2024 held in Prague, Czech Republic from June 27 to July 1.

This prestigious festival, now in its fifth edition, featured choral groups from 16 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America.

UPCC clinched four awards at the festival, including a coveted gold medal. They became the first Filipino group to participate in this esteemed event, marking a historic achievement for Philippine choral music on the international stage.

Expressing their gratitude, UPCC thanked the Musica Orbis Prague Festival organizers, saying, "Thank you Musica Orbis Prague Festivals for the wonderful time we had! The beautiful sights we experienced and the music we shared with our fellow choristers will forever be cherished in our hearts."

Proudly representing the Philippines among 18 participating countries, UPCC vowed to continue showcasing Filipino talent and pride in their future performances. Their journey continues with upcoming stops in Zurich, Switzerland, and Gambach, Germany, promising more opportunities to captivate global audiences with their exceptional musical prowess.
