Vloggers Rendon Labador, Rosemarie Tan Pamulaklakin known as Rosmar, and Marki Tan have issued a public apology following a controversy in Coron, Palawan, where they faced calls to be declared persona non grata by the local government.

The incident, which occurred during a visit to the Office of the Mayor, involved disrespectful behavior towards Miss Jho Cayabyab Trinidad, an official of the Office of the Vice Mayor.

During the visit, Mr. Labador's actions were criticized for disrespecting proper decorum and causing distress to Miss Trinidad. The vloggers had previously promised to distribute grocery packages to locals, but only a few were delivered, leading to disappointment among residents. This dissatisfaction escalated when Rosmar posted on social media stating "Never Again Coron," further aggravating the situation.

In response, the Sangguniang Bayan of Coron passed a resolution declaring Rosmar, Rendon Labador, and Marki Tan as persona non grata. This decision was based on their disruptive behavior, violation of local laws including Republic Act No. 10951 and the Safe Spaces Act, and their negative impact on community peace and order.

Mayor Marjo Reyes, currently away on official duty, expressed his displeasure over the incident and ordered a thorough investigation by local authorities.

Following widespread backlash, including from Coron residents and local officials, Rosmar, Rendon, and Marki Tan issued a joint public apology via social media. They expressed regret for their actions, acknowledged their mistakes, and sought forgiveness from Miss Trinidad, the municipal government, and the people of Coron.

Rendon Labador emphasized their visit was intended to help as ordinary citizens and not as celebrities or influencers, pledging to learn from the incident and continue their charity efforts responsibly.

Rosmar apologized for her emotional social media post and asked for forgiveness, underscoring her respect for local leaders and their intentions to make amends.

The vloggers also addressed the persona non grata resolution, stating they would accept any decision made by the Mayor and local government, while expressing hope for a chance to visit Coron in the future.

The controversy has sparked discussions about proper conduct and responsibilities of social media influencers, resonating beyond Coron to broader ethical considerations in digital content creation.
