Vice President Sara Duterte has officially declined the invitation to attend the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability hearing regarding the use of confidential funds by her office (OVP). In a letter addressed to Rep. Joel Chua, the committee chairperson, Duterte explained her decision, stating that the hearing is based on allegations without substantial evidence.

In her letter, Duterte reassured that the OVP remains in close coordination with the Commission on Audit (COA) regarding the matter. She also made a request for the committee to conclude the investigation, emphasizing that there are no valid grounds to continue delving into the issue.

While some parties may push for further scrutiny, Duterte stands firm in her position that these allegations are unfounded and should not be given undue attention.
