Vice President Sara Duterte emphasized the need to prioritize national concerns over personal grievances. Responding to the sentiments expressed by First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, Duterte underscored that individual emotions should not interfere with governmental duties.

"While acknowledging Mrs. Marcos's right to her feelings, her personal sentiments do not influence my obligations as a government official," stated Vice President Duterte. She further conveyed her intention to address any further matters privately with President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., avoiding public discord.

Duterte urged the nation to confront pressing issues, including soaring food prices, water and power shortages, and the persistent threat of illegal drugs, crime, terrorism, and insurgency. She emphasized the importance of collective attention to these challenges for the betterment of the Philippines.
