3 nabbed, P362-K shabu seized in Zambo City drug stings

ZAMBOANGA CITY – The police anti-drug units have arrested three persons, including a high-value individual (HVI), and seized some PHP361,800 worth of illegal drugs and a firearm in separate buy-bust operations in this city, an official said Tuesday.

Brig. Gen. Froilan Quidilla, Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9) director, identified the arrested suspects as Benjimar Misuari, 24, an HVI; Adzmer Gustaham, 37; and Benhar Sali, 31.

Quidilla said Misuari was arrested by the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-9 (RDEU-9) in a buy-bust operation at the vicinity of a university around 5:40 p.m. Monday along La Purisima Street, Barangay Zone II here.

Police said Misuari yielded some PHP346,800 worth of suspected shabu and PHP2,000 marked money.

Gustaham, meanwhile, was caught in possession of some PHP15,000 worth of suspected shabu and PHP200 marked money in a buy-bust operation around 9:20 p.m. Monday in Love Drive, Barangay Campo Islam here, police said.

Sali, on the other hand, yielded a .45-caliber pistol with seven live ammunition and five heat-sealed plastic sachets of shabu in another buy-bust in Barangay Arena Blanco here, police said.

Quidilla said formal charges are set to be filed against the three suspects who up to now all remained in detention. (PNA)
