DAGUPAN CITY – Authorities have arrested six persons and seized from them suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP82,000 in a drug den in Barangay Bonuan Boquig here.
The operation that was conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) - Pangasinan, assisted by the Dagupan City Police, on Tuesday afternoon led to the arrest of suspects Sergio Raguindin, Wendell Dulay, Sergio Casilang, Allan Natividad, Warren Gonzales, and Christine Landingin.
In an interview, PDEA-Pangasinan team leader Retchie Camacho said Landingin was the subject of the operation as her house had allegedly become a one-stop-shop for illegal drugs in the city.
“This was the result of our relentless follow-up after each operation we do,” Camacho said, adding that Landingin’s name came up after a similar operation in neighboring Barangay Bonuan Gueset two weeks ago.
He said a previously arrested suspect disclosed that part of his shipment was allegedly brought to Landingin.
Operatives, Camacho said, entrapped the suspect in a buy-bust operation but the other suspects were also in the drug den amid a pot session.
Authorities seized one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, which was sold to the poseur-buyer. They confiscated seven more sachets in the suspect’s pot room.
The suspected illegal drugs weighed about 12 grams estimated at PHP82,000, he said.
Recovered were assorted drug paraphernalia, buy-bust money, one cellphone, two motorcycles used by customers, and cash.
The suspects are under the custody of PDEA and face charges for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 15 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
