The Bureau of Immigration (BI) is on the lookout for two Chinese nationals who were recently caught operating an underground hospital for COVID-19 patients in Pampanga.

BI Commissioner Jaime Morente said Chinese nationals Liu Wei and Hu Shiling are on their alert list. BI personnel at airports can stop them from leaving the country.

Liu and Hu were arrested when members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) raided their clinic at the Fontana Leisure Park in Clark, Angeles City on May 19. No charges were filed against them and they were released on the same day.

Morente said criminal charges are unnecessary against the two. The BI can file deportation charges against Liu and Hu if it will be proven that they violated the conditions of their stay in the country.
