Fire struck the left wing of the Mandaue City Hall past 2 a.m. Thursday. Responders put the fire out by 3:20 a.m.
The affected portions of the building were the office of the vice mayor, the public information headquarters and the City Council session hall.
The Mandaue City Public Information Office said the cost of damage from the fire is estimated at P300,000. An individual named Winston Ouano was injured in the incident.
The cause of the fire is still being determined
The city hall, also named the Presidencia, was originally built in 1937.
