Housewares, appliances now allowed for delivery under ECQ

The Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF) greenlighted the delivery of next essential products such as hardware products, housewares and appliances under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
“We recognize that many of our kababayans will be needing more items beyond the essentials, so we are going to the next essentials,” Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Sec. Ramon Lopez said.
Other products cleared for delivery include veterinary products, clothing and accessories.
Lopez also announced that they have arrested some 400 violators for profiteering and hoarding of medical supplies since the start of quarantine.
He said complaints continue to roll in from the public despite their warning against parties taking advantage of the coronavirus health crisis.
The DTI is working closely with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to run after profiteers and hoarders.
