More parishioners allowed to hear mass in Albay by June
More Catholics will be allowed to attend holy mass in the Diocese of Legazpi starting tomorrow, June 1, when Albay province switches to Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).
The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) has allowed 50 percent of a venue’s capacity to be used under MGCQ.
In his Pentecost Celebration mass this Sunday, Bishop Joel Baylon said parishioners who are under 21 years old and above 60 years old may already attend mass.
He stressed though that health protocols such as social distancing, wearing of face masks and the use of alcohol and sanitizers will still be implemented.
Baylon added that he will meet with other clergy to discuss additional guidelines that they will set under MGCQ. Another agenda item they will tackle is the resumptions of Sunday mass in Daraga municipality.
