Pampanga SK Councils provide venues for online classes
PAMPANGA, Philippines – Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) councils in Pampanga have set up venues with internet access for students taking online classes.
SK Federation President Gabriel Lacson said this project will provide assistance for students who are struggling with internet connection and accessibility.
“After the enhanced community quarantine was implemented, nagkaroon po tayo ng maraming problems (we had a lot of problems) especially among students with regards to their internet connection,” he said in an interview with Secretary Martin Andanar on Monday, May 25.
Lacson also said the internet access venues are being operated through the barangays.
“We are for continuous learning during the pandemic. However, we believe that the welfare of our students should be given importance,” he added.
Lacson said initial funding came from SK officials of Pampanga. As of today, May 25, organizations from the private sector have joined to help fund the project.
