PNP Bicol helps commuters with Libreng Sakay

The Philippine National Police in Bicol is providing free transportation for commuters under Oplan Libreng Sakay. The free rides cover the areas of Legazpi City and the Municipality of Daraga where most business establishments are already open. Priority is given to workers.

PNP spokesperson Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib said this is only one of many ways PNP Bicol lends a hand to fellow Bicolanos and helps ease the strain many people feel over the COVID-19 pandemic.

PNP Libreng Sakay is scheduled at 7 to 9 a.m.for the morning shift and 4 to 6 p.m. for the afternoon.

Health protocols such as wearing of facemasks and social distancing are strictly imposed.

Calubaquib said two trucks are available for now and that they will add another to accommodate more commuters.
