Supreme Court releases list of 2019 Bar Exam Passers

The Supreme Court of the Philippines has released the list of passers of the 2019 bar examinations. 

Supreme Court Senior Associate Justice and Chairperson of the 2019 Bar Exam Committee Estela A. Perlas-Bernabe congratulated the passers in a video on social media. 

Bernabe administered the test along with Deputy Clerk and Bar Confidant Atty. Ma. Cristina B. Layusa at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila last November 2019. 

Out of 7,685 people who took the test 2,103 passed. This makes for a passing rate of 27.36%, an improvement from the previous year's 22.07%.

Bernabe said the passing grade was lowered to 74% from 75%. . 

The Supreme Court decided to forgo posting the list at their Padre Faura office in consideration of quarantine rules. Instead, the full list of bar passers will be posted online.

6. Kenneth Glenn L. Manuel – UST - 88.1730%
8. Rhowee D. Buergo - Jose Rizal University - 87.8710%
8. Anton Luis A. Avila – Saint Louis University - 87.5820%
9. Jun Dexter H. Rojas - Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) - 87.5765%
10. Bebelan A. Madera – University of St. La Salle - 87.3795%
