TD BUTCHOY: Signal #1 raised over several areas in Luzon including Metro Manila
PAGASA raised Signal No. 1 over several areas in Luzon including Metro Manila after the low pressure area east of Quezon intensified into a tropical depression now named Butchoy.
Based on the latest weather bulletin, the center of Butchoy was last seen 75 km northwest of Daet, Camarines Norte. It has maximum sustained winds of up to 45 kph and gustiness of up to 55 kph. It is moving west northwest at 20 kph.
Butchoy is forecast to cross Polillo Islands and make landfall over northern Quezon-southern Aurora between tonight and tomorrow morning.
