The Albay provincial government is preparing for the resumption of commercial flights at Legazpi Domestic Airport on Monday.

Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara issued an Executive Order outlining preventive protocols and reporting procedures on COVID-19 for passengers of inbound routes and connecting flights.

All travellers coming from the National Capital Region (NCR) or other areas with confirmed COVID-19 cases will undergo a 14-day quarantine.

Markings are also put on the tarmac to indicate where passengers will stand while waiting.

Faucets and hand sanitizers are also installed so that passengers can wash their hands before entering the airport terminal.

Passengers should also present original copies of COVID-19-related travel documents.

A vehicle should be available to fetch the traveller upon their exit from the airport.

All locally stranded individuals upon arrival in Albay must report immediately to their respective LGU for documentation and undergo proper medical disposition subject to local regulations and quarantine procedures.

Personnel of the Albay Provincial Tourism for Culture and the Arts Office (PTCAO) conducted a simulation exercise to test the procedures for the proper receiving of arriving passengers.

The Department of Health Center for Health Development in Bicol recorded two new confirmed cases of COVID-19, one from Catanduanes and one from Albay. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Bicol Region to 84.
