Cast of Black Sheep’s first Boys Love Series revealed

Black Sheep introduced the whole cast of its upcoming Boys Love (BL) series “Hello Stranger”, including Tony Labrusca’s on-screen male partner.

Labrusca will star opposite JC Alcantara, who also starred in ABS-CBN’s primetime series “Halik”. This is Alcantara’s first lead role in a series.

Other Star Magic artists like Gillian Vicencio, Vivoree Esclito, Patrick Quiroz and Miguel Almedras will be part of the cast too.

“Hello Stranger” is the first digital series of Black Sheep, following the success of “hugot” movies like Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil’s Alone/Together among others. The series will be directed by Petersen Vargas, who also directed Cinema One Original’s “2 Cool To Be Forgotten” .

It’s release date is yet to be announced.

The sudden popularity of the BL genre here in the Philippines inspired Black Sheep to create this series following Thailand’s popular Boys’ Love stories like “2gether” which consistently topped on Twitter during its run early this year.
