Cebu City records near 400 recoveries

The Cebu City Public Information Office has declared on its Facebook page that it is winning the fight against COVID-19 after recording close to 400 recoveries as of May 27.

The Cebu City PIO report said 394 Covid-19 patients were already cleared by the Cebu City Health Department (CCHD). It also said they recorded the highest number of recoveries at 164 patients last May 27. 

Of the cleared patients, 114 were from Barangay Suba, 33 from Barangay Bacayan, 15 from Barangay Mambaling and 2 from Barangay Sambag 2. 

“Maobot sa 110 ka mga pasyente sa Barangay Suba nga kasamtangang anaa sa Barangay Isolation Center (BIC) sa San Nicolas Elementary School ang gikatakdang mogawas na sa pasilidad karong adlawa (There are over 110 patients of Barangay Suba, housed at the BIC in San Nicolas Elementary School, who are set to be released today),” the City PIO said.  

The city meanwhile recorded 21 new COVID-19 cases today and still over 2,000 positive cases. 

The City PIO said most of their positive patients are asymptomatic ones who were earlier brought to various Barangay Isolation Centers as ordered by Mayor Edgar Labella.

The CCHD continues to monitor the patients.
