TS “AMBO”: Signal #1 raised over parts of Samar provinces
PAGASA raised Signal #1 over parts of Samar, Northern Samar and Eastern Samar as Tropical Storm “Ambo” further intensified on Wednesday.
As of 10 AM, the center of Tropical Storm “Ambo” was estimated at 360 km east of Borongan, Eastern Samar with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph and gustiness of up to 105 kph. It is slowly moving northwest.
Ambo is forecast to further intensify into a typhoon before it makes landfall over the Bicol region by tomorrow evening or Friday morning.
