MANILA — Minette, a Filipina caregiver has received one of her biggest blessings, with international music artist Michael Bublé gifting her with a house in Vancouver, Canada.
Bublé gave the newly-renovated house to Minette to fulfill the dying wish of his grandfather, Demetrio, to give his long-time caregiver her own house.
Bublé’s surprise for Minette was featured in the episode of “Celebrity IOU,” a “HGTV series where Hollywood A-listers express their gratitude to individuals who have had a major impact on their lives by surprising them with big, heartwarming home renovations.”
The singer said it’s his grandfather’s way of showing his appreciation to Minette for taking good care of him for eight years.
“I think my grandpa would be thrilled knowing that we could maybe lessen the burden a little bit in allowing Minette to continue helping her family without it being so hard on her,” Bublé shared.
Bublé also shared how easy it was for his grandfather and their family to treat the Filipina health worker like family.
With the help of “Celebrity IOU” hosts Drew and Jonathan Scott, Bublé also took part in the renovation of their old property before they gave it to Minette.
